As we enter the Fall season, the weather is cooling down and we want to be outside as much as we can. There are so many places to take in the fresh air, but hikes are something fun for the whole family. Lucky for St. Augustine locals and visitors, there are plenty of beautiful walking trails to be explored. Today, we are sharing a few of our favorites.

Guana River State Park

Located off of A1A South in Ponte Vedra Beach, Guana River offers beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife where visitors can hunt, fish, hike, bicycle, paddling and even horseback riding. To learn more about the state park, visit this site.

It is also home to the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM Reserve), which is one of 29 National Estuarine Research Reserves in the country. It is home to a diverse landscape of plants and animals with habitats from the ocean to the forests. To learn more about the GTM Reserve, click here.

Vaill Point Park

The park offers a variety of activities including boating, fishing, hiking and birdwatching, as well as three playgrounds. Moses Creek Conservation Area

Located off of SR 206 in St. Augustine, the Moses Creek Conservation Area preserves one of the few remaining undeveloped tidal creeks. One of the highlights of the area is the canopied dirt roads that serve as trails beneath old live oaks. The creek is also popular with kayakers who wait for high tide to explore the tall marsh grasses. Activities include wildlife viewing, hiking, horseback riding, campaign, picnicking, bicycling and fishing. To learn more, click here.
